Pro Wrestling Syndicate






Pro Wrestling Syndicate was a top drawing and top-grossing independent wrestling promotion, operational from 2007 until 2016. Founded by Eric Pleska, PWS became a top grossing indy wrestling promotion over the course of approximately 100 live events in New York and New Jersey. The promotion featured some of the industry's biggest stars, including Bret Hart, The Great Muta, Kenny Omega,

John Morrison, Kevin Steen, and Rey Mysterio.


Known for its unique booking style and creation of stars, PWS consistently drew upwards of 1,500 fans per live event. The promotion boasted a weekly internet television show followed by a weekly 60-minute television show broadcast on WLNY in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut every Saturday night in 2015. The premiere episode was viewed by more than 200,000 in its first airing. The weekly television show was later broadcast in syndication in various large cities with sizeable professional wrestling fanbases, including Boston, Denver, Minneapolis, and Philadelphia.


Other television shows such as TMZ, MTV True Life, and The Late Show with Larry Wilmore filmed segments at PWS events. PWS has been featured in numerous print publications ranging from Pro Wrestling Illustrated to the New York Daily News and on multiple websites, including numerous times on the

main page of Yahoo.com.

Pro Wrestling Syndicate events featured the industry's best workers, its own stars, and veteran legends.



Numerous stars had retirement matches at PWS events including
Chris chetti, justin credible, necro butcher, and new jack. PWS also hosted the final singles match of jerry lynn, the final match of Larry zbyzsko, and the final tandem appearance of nikolai volkoff and the iron sheik.

Numerous wrestlers portrayed characters at pws for the first time since television including "El Matador" Tito Santana, Glacier, The Shockmaster, The Goon, Phantasio, "Black Superman" tony Atlas, Mantaur, The zombie, and many more.



The above list is only a small percentage of the talent who competed at pws events over 9 years.

Numerous Wrestlers made their first post-wwe appearances at PWS including Paul Birchill, Mason Ryan, Brian Myers, Tyler Reks, PJ BLack, trent baretta, and harry smith among others.

Some talent included students from pws' wrestling school and gimmicks created by promoter eric pleska including the drunken swashbuckler, the lifeguard, monsters island, habib, nikos rikos, and numerous others.





PWS live events frequently began with a two-hour Meet & Greet session where fans had the opportunity to meet PWS stars and some of professional wrestling's biggest legends. Occasionally, non-wrestling personalities made appearances on live events, such as The Insane Clown Posse, who hosted PWS' annual Wrestle Bowl event.


Other unique aspects of PWS events included other concepts implemented by promoter Eric Pleska including season tickets, themed giveaway nights, unique match types, and countless interactive fan experience upgrades.






After a four-year long partnership, founder Eric Pleska resumed full ownership of PWS in 2016. One final event was held at the sold out Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ. Headlined by appearances by numerous wrestling legends and the retirement match of Necro Butcher, the event netted the highest of any PWS event ever.


Shortly after, Eric Pleska sold PWS. The highly sought after video library, including nearly 100 live events, 52 hours of the "Monday Night Mayhem" internet show, and 52 hours of PWS' weekly television program were sold to Title Match Pro Wrestling.



Various independent promoters purchased PWS' social media accounts including Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube. Additional physical assets including wrestling ring parts, several hundred folding chairs, and guardrails were purchased by FTW Wrestling.

(PWS Champion, Television Champion, Suicidal Six Way Champion, and Tag Team Champions), event banners, the PWS website, name,and unsold merchandise were sold to Brooklyn based promoter Frank Mayor.

The total sale of assets exceeded expectations.
