Launched in 2012 as the female division of Pro Wrestling Syndicate, PWS Bombshells held ten live events in New Jersey between 2012 and 2014, featuring top independent wrestlers, international stars, and legends.

Live events often exceeded 200 in attendance and were streamed
on iPPV and later released on DVD.

A final Bombshells event occurred in 2016 at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ. The event wrapped up multiple feuds and storylines. Shortly after, owner Eric Pleska sold the Bombshells promotion and its video library to Combat Zone Wrestling for an undisclosed fee.

After Bombshells, many of its competitors, who also worked for multiple other independent promotions, advanced to more established companies, including AEW, TNA, and WWE..
